Step 3: Pre-flight Verifications

1 From the Trailer/Office

Before heading to the deck to begin the flight it is important to review the flight plan to ensure that it appears safe to fly, contains all of the obstacles on the deck, and covers the entire pour area. 

From the DJI pilot2 App select the flight route button

Switch to Cloud and select the pour that will be scanned:

Review the flight plan and ensure that all obstacles (such as cranes or pumps) are properly marked and that the path covers the intended pour area.

If there is a new obstacle that needs to be added to the site, please contact your Siteaware CXM to ensure it is added.

If the flight plan does not cover the entire pour area, please contact your Siteaware CXM to ensure it’s adjusted. Please do not attempt to adjust the flight path.

4.2 From the Deck

Once on the deck, it is important to verify again that the GCP stickers are visible and the drone has an RTK fix.
